TALK TO ME! … YOU TALK TOO MUCH!

In many relationships, one person will say the other either won’t talk or talks too much.  Why is this communication hurdle so common?

Expectations.  It is our expectations of others that create these communication hurdles.  We are all unique and yet we expect others to be like us.  If we like to talk and express our feeling, we expect those that we love to do the same thing.

When we understand that all communication styles have advantages and disadvantages and accept others’ differences, we will enhance all of our relationships.

Here is a fictional example of how Sara’s life was changed after a JOY+ coaching session.

Sara was struggling in her eight-year marriage.  She wanted her husband to talk to her, but she received only a few words.  His emotions were buried deep inside.  Sara felt that if he wouldn’t open up, their relationship would be over.  She wanted, needed, more from him. Taking Charge of Your Health

At the very beginning, our bodies were created in perfect balance and harmony.  We were also given the gift of free will.  Because of temptation, we have taken the path that has caused imbalances.  Generation after generation, our choices have caused more dis-eases in our bodies.  However, we also have the option to take control of our health and return to the path of homeostasis.

How do we find this path of well-being?

Playing with The Law of Attraction

“The Law of Attraction” became a buzz word several years back when “The Secret” became a popular book and movie.  I, too, followed the crowd, watched the movie, and attempted to attract “things” to me.  Like many, I felt I failed this experiment of manifesting wealth miserably.  However, I was still intrigued by the Law of Attraction, which is defined by Abraham Hicks as “that which is like unto itself is drawn.”

I combined the teaching of many great thinkers and teachers, including but not limited to Jesus, Abraham Hicks, Mahatma Gandhi, Louise Hay, and the company Heartmath.  I connected to my inner knowing and realized that my focus on accumulating more material “things” isn’t really what I desired.  My desire is a life filled with love and joy.

The Law of Attraction is similar to other science- based laws in that it is not debatable; IT IS.  Whether we are aware of or believe in it is not important, because it IS part of our human existence.  This Attraction connects with our vibrations, which we are.  If we are vibrating in an angry state, walking around with a chip on our shoulder, then we will attract more anger to us.  However, if we are being a peaceful, joyous person, we will attract more peace and joy in our lives.  In my case of wanting more money, I reflect back that I wasn’t attracting money because I was vibrating in the state of lack.

BRAIN POWER

Everyone is a genius.  But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”  Albert Einstein

Children, especially babies, are very smart.  They eat when they are hungry and sleep when they are tired.  As adults, many of us eat when we are tired, stressed, depressed, happy, and the list goes on.   We also make up all kinds of excuses as to why we can’t get the recommended eight hours of sleep each night.  Instead of going to sleep, we choose to drink caffeine then set an alarm clock to wake us up.  Who is smarter, the newborn infant or her parents?

Intelligence comes from connecting with who you truly are. Learning to trust your intuition, hear your body’s messages, and understand the meaning of what the universe is showing you will take you down the path to wholeness.
